Glendol's Story
After highschool, I worked at Misrecordia hospital and attended UWM. I got married to Gregory Browder in 1963 and had one daughter in 1965. After Greg and I divorced, I returned to UWM and received my BS in Social Welfare. I relocated to Chicago in approximately 1974 where I worked as a Sales Rep for the Gillette Company and was later hired as the first Black female Sales Rep. in the Medical Products Division of 3M Company. ge in River Forest, IL in pursuit of my MBA. I completed approximately 50% of the required courses but needed to focus on my daughter's care. While living in the Chicago area and now the Atlanta area,I worked as an HR Specialist, Supervisor and as a Director during my career. I am currently semi-retired and am actively engaged in my passion which is music. I sing with the Cobb Symphony Chorus, Americolor Opera Alliance and my church choir. I also am involved in theater.
