Glenn's Story

The years have moved along quickly. The years have moved quickly, but I have not moved from Morton. I have enjoyed the years and the different stages of activity that they have provided. After graduating in 1972, Barb and I continued to date and were married in 1976. Barb graduated in 1979 from Bradley University, Biology Major secoundary education. We had 6 years together before starting our family. Steve was born in 1982 and Jennifer in 1984. Barb and I have been blessed by Steve and Jennifer. We enjoyed each of the stages of raising children, including the Jr. High and High School years. They both graduated from Bradley University. Steve in 2005 Electrical Engineering and married April Osterman, Jennifer in 2007 Elementry Education K - 8th grades, math & language arts speciality. We are now enjoying the empty nest time together. Waiting for the Grandparent time of our life. At this time we are in no hurry for that, but we are looking forward to that time. After working at the Amoco station until Red retired in 1977, I started my sales career. Working for Ray Dennison Chevrolet until Jan. 1978 when I started selling for Bob Grimm Chevrolet. I started my career in Insurance in 1985 as a supplier to Financial Institutions and Retail auto dealers. I have worked for the past 22 years for Pekin Insurance as a Field Rep for Credit Life & Credit Disability In...Expand for more
surance in Illinois and Indiana. During my insurance career I have completed my studies thru the American College. I have recieved my CLU, ChFC, CASL designations in the insurance industry. I still enjoy my interest in automobiles and have had a number of fun cars over the years. Currently my garage is empty except for of all things a Pt Cruiser. We have had fun driving it for the past couple of years. After driving the family 1990 Astro Van for 17 years. We said that we would keep it until Steve and Jen were out of college. I will have another fun car, hopefully another Corvette or Camaro Z28. (Note: June 09 Barb and I purchased a 2000 BMW Z3 from our son and his wife. They are expecting their first child in November. Not a corvette or camaro, but it is alot of fun.) God has blessed my life and I am very thankful to him for his forgiveness in my life. I believe that given the opportunity to vist with classmates from MHS. They would say that the years haven't changed who I am. Heavier, graying hair, but still me. I am ok with that. Many of my classmates still live in the area. I enjoy running into them from time to time. I am looking forward to hearing from you who have lived away from Morton these past years. I hope that God has been good to all of you. Ok, I have probably said to much for this message. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Glenn
