Glenn's Story
I dropped in and out of college but finally graduated in 1969. My first job was with the State but left it after four years. Started grad school but got very distracted and dropped out. Went back to work in sales and this lasted four years - not very good at it. Started work at a consulting firm in downtown LA and lasted there over twenty years. Ended up as a manager and did work all over the State. In the meantime, became an AIDS activist, addressed my own addiction problems, and became politically active. and reading - and decided to change careers. Ended up in grad school at night. At the same time started running around with a young student from Taiwan. Graduated from college, again, and changed careers - am now a Marriage and Family Therapist. Have been to Asia eight times, have a collection of Song and Yuan Dynasty ceramics that are all fakes but wonderful to look at. No real long term relationships. Friends with a whole lot of people - including many smart-ass Jesuits - and don't plan to retire until I'm 70. But who knows. So far so good.
