Glenn's Story
Life
Graduated U of T in 1979, but had great difficulty landing and keeping jobs for more than a year. Finally, I pulled up stakes and headed north to make my career in radio. It finally paid off in 1989, when I landed an overnight news gig on CFTR (before it went all news). I then spent four years as a national newscaster and business editor at the now defunct Standard Broadcast News.
Following that, I tripped around taking much any job until I was hired full-time at a mutual fund house. I was working with another...Expand for more
mutual fund company until late July 2002, and am now currently rethinking that industry altogether. I am fascinated by the world of money and investment, but am dismayed by what the financial industry and stock market has turned into (kind of like a father with a wayward kid).
The lady I have forged a connection with is currently moving in with me (August 2002), and we plan winter nuptials in early 2003. Till then, I am writing freelance articles and keeping my ear open to what's going on in the broadcast business.
