Glenn's Story

Well, here I am, virtually speaking.:) First of all I deeply and truly apologize for being such a jerk so many years ago to all I offended, and I make no excuses for some things I said and did. At any rate things are looking up for me, finally. I went through a pretty rough stretch for a while, but the light at the end of the tunnel is clear, and thankfully it isn't coming from another train. I'm looking forward to going back to school, maybe getting my MBA and expanding my skills, which I have already started doing. I have a lot of possibilities I am considering. I am already doing some freelance teaching of qigong and other health practices I have picked up. One of my success stories is a man in his sixties, who had arthritic knees. Note that's past tensem as they are not arthritic anymore, and now he can enjoy life like he used to. I think the greatest reward is to see him jogging and doing whatever else he wants to do in comfort. My own health took a real dive for a long time, but I was able to get it back through my practice of my Tai Chi Chuan, Chen style (my instructor hails directly from Chen village in China and her uncle is a world renowned grandmaster) and Qigong (similar to Tai Chi). That and my cats keep me halfway sane, hey, at least I've made it that far! :) I hope someday to teach Tai Chi and Qigong, as the results I have had have been encouraging to say the least, some might say highly unlikely. I'm tickled to have my health back. I'd love to eventually go to nursing homes and assisted living facilities especially, homeless shelters, and other such places and help people there improve their quality and enjoyment of life. As to the cats, they were all someone else's throwaways, and I know a thing or two about that. It's just unbelievable t...Expand for more
hat they were all dumped at shelters or were strays in that they are incredibly good natured, even my vet has commented on the ease and enjoyment of working with them. They truly enjoy having my guys visit, and my big guy, a Maine Coon cat, is a regular woman magnet. I never got married or had kids. I have had plenty of chances at marriage, but I just did not feel I would be a good or happy father, as that usually goes with that territory. Sometimes things happen as they are supposed to happen. Singlehood wasn't the type of life I envisioned for myself, but my feeling is it's better to be single than to wish I was, and singlehood isn't entirely without positives. I've met quite a few divorced as well as still-married people who range any where from bored to miserable in their relationships, so I count my blessings. If my soulmate appears, great, if not, that's cool too. There is much to be said for being in a happy and stable relationship, but there is much also to be said for living and flying free as well. I did graduate cum laude from University of Memphis, and in 1999 I relocated to the Kansas City area. For the most part it's a pretty nice place to live, and has some of the most awesome barbeque in the country, lots of great things to see if you are a history buff as I am, some good sports to watch and many other things to do. The weather gets pretty crazy from time to time though. Anyway, that's all for now. All the best to all of you out there. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, look me up. There's a lot to see and do around here. I'm in the Independence, MO phone book, and have an upstairs that easily doubles as a guest quarters. Take care everyone, and again I deeply and truly apologize for being such a jerk so many years ago to all I offended.
