Gloria's Story

I am not sure how many people in my graduating class of 1971 remember me. But I had a lot of fun at San Juan High School and still remain good friends with my BFF Bettie Ford (Renda) and Patti Walker (Johnson) I was married in 1978 to my High School sweetheart Rick Morris (Chick) as he was known at San Juan. We have two wonderful children Clay 27 and Kate 22, Rick and I divorced in 2002 and are still friends and parent our children together as best we can being divorced parents. We both love our children and no grandkids yet. They are not ready, but I am. I just moved back to the Sacramento area in August after my sister lost her husband to stomach cancer and we now live together and so glad we have each other. I go to Redding to see my kids when I can. I was living in Montana for a year and a half and liked it there but missed Calif. so I had to come back home to be closer to the kids. So here I am starting over once again and looking forward to my new life here with my sister and meeting new friends. If anyone would like to reach me I am at glosmor at that hotplace. Glo I always wanted to be a mom when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a wonderful idea. As it turns out, they were right. Take a walk, read a good book, watch a good movie. Went to too many parties. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have plenty of time to get ready, be on time, and not be late to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My Mom has always been my hero, she taught me the good morals and values that I live with everyday of my life. Most important to always be HONEST and NEVER LIE. California from 1965-1978, Nevada 1978-1981, Redding California 1981-2007, Montana 2007-2009, Woodland 2009. Sacramento 2009 till present. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Cindy Teston, because I lost contact with her after she graduated from San Juan Hight School in 1969. I don't watch many sports, some reality tv, no pets, no obsessions. Getting my divorce in 2002, I thought that we would grow old and die together, but it just didn't work ...Expand for more
out that way. I left my marriage in 2001 and was glad I did. We were married for 25yrs two wonderful children. Were together 32 yrs. Meet him at San Juan High School, I know alot of you know him, his name in high school was Chick Morris, and now goes by Rick Morris. That they are there own person. They have turned out to be wonderful adult children and work hard. I didn't have a favorite teacher, I was just glad to get out of high school. If I won $100 million, I'd give 50 percent of it to my kids, then spend the rest on investments, traveling and charities. No I never continued my education and regret that decision I am happy where I am today and like myself, but I would like to find a partner. My current age is 57. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be settled in there lives. After h/s I worked for Thrifty Drugs for 8 yrs, then did office work and hated that, then managed a savings and loan, then worked in the video retail/sales for 15yrs. I like him but he didn't like me, so sad. My best friend would tell you I'm honest, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a snob, but I wasn't I was just shy and people seemed to take it wrong.. No, I dress for my proper age but styleish. I never really had a weird job, I liked all of my jobs except the office work. I live with my sister Linda and we share a home with each other. Continue my eduation. In 10 years, I hope to be remarried. I'm going to get there by getting back out in the world and start dating, it's time. I have been single for 8 yrs and ready to go forward.. My BFF is Bettie Ford (Renda) we have been friends since high school and have always stayed in touch. Also Patti Walker (Johnson) same story as above. We are the three muskteers. That I am confident and not that shy young girl from high school. My first job was at Thrifty Drug, Dec 1970,where I got paid to cashier to work with the public. What I remember most about it is working with the public can be lots of fun but you always have those few jerks. Secrets and scars are kept that way.
