Life
My Spouse
We met in 1976 while both of us were enlisted in the Army and stationeld on Guam. I had just transferred and he was on duty. Tried hitting on me as soon as I walked in the door! I thought he was a jerk! But eventually he won my heart and we were married for 25 years. He passed away suddenly Dec. 2004.
My Pets
I currently have a 4 yr old Boston Bull named Buster. Have had him for about 1 1/2 yrs now. He's spoiled rotten and now that I'm alone he keeps me company.
My Kids
I have 2 sons. Jared is now 23. Has been working as an HVAC Tech since he was 16. He married when he was 18 and I have a 5 yr old grandson named Mikey. Jared will soon be getting a divorce and is currently living with his girlfriend. Adam is 19 and is still working on getting his life in order. Luckily he has no children! I also have a step-daughter and 2 step-granddaughters who live in Lawton, OK.
My Life
After graduating from high school attended a semester at a small community college north of Albany, NY. I went back home, worked a few years at a book bindery and then spent 3 years in the Army. I married in 1979. He was still in the Army then and we lived back and forth between Arkansas and Oklahoma before he retired in 1983. ege from 1982-1988 getting an Associates Degree in Elementary Ed & also Computer Info. I worked 4 years as a mainframe computer programmer before deciding my kids needed me at home more than I needed to be working. That was 1992. My husband was transferred to Kentucky in 1993 where we've lived ever since. Before the end of this year(2005) my son, Adam, and I will be moving to the WV/Ohio area where my husband's family lives.
***UPDATE***
A lot has happened since I first filled out my profile. I didn't move to the WV/OH area after all. I decided to stay in KY. My oldest son got his divorce, married again, and divorced again, then married again. His current wife brought her now 4yo son into the marriage. And Michael, from his first marriage is now 18 (soon to be 19), graduated from high school and is currently doing his AIT at Fort Lee VA. My youngest son (I guess following in his brother's footsteps) married his middle school sweetheart, they had a beautiful little girl named Autumn, got a divorce 2 years later (he kept custody of Autumn), he married again, working on a divorce, and thinking about getting married again. But he's had a lot of life issues and he signed custody of Autumn over to me. I'm now retired and doing my best to raise my granddaughter. In June of this year (2018) we moved to a small town in eastern TN.
