Gloria's Story
Hi, we live in Oakdale now and I am still an Eastsider in my heart and always will be. My four kids all went to Johnson, they drove from here. Did not like the high school here, I worked there for a number of years in the Pre-School program. Did cat rescue for many years and now we are on the down side of that. only 7 left and they are all elderly. We also have a couple of dogs. Our most recent is two little chihuahua boys that are allot of fun. My life so far has been kids and animals. We have 9 grandkids that keep us busy. We are actually raising one who is now 12. busy with his sports. Yeah, there's a reason that you raise them when you are younger! The hard part is the school stuff, the math is ridiculous. Not like we learned. I worked in this school district for 20 years and am now retired on disability. Had a simple surgery at Regions 4 years ago and they overdosed me and damaged my heart. They told me I had a heart virus, yeah right. I also have arthritis pretty bad and stay close to home most of the time. We have a small farm in Wisconsin and go there to get away from it all. Life is pretty good these days and it is always fun to run into someone from my past and gab.
