With Pastor Tamara John at her Hope for Life Chapel at an RV park in Huntington Beach, California.  I had the honor of playing my cello for her congregation this evening.
Snails are known to be slow.  Rarely do we think of them as persistent or daring.  But here is a snail I spotted this morning perched on top of a yard (meter) high sprinkler perhaps for a drink of water. I was impressed.

Enjoying my cappuccino grande ($3.30) at Caffe Trieste in San Francisco.  Caffe Trieste started serving espresso in 1956, before it was popular.  Their cappuccinos are far tastier than those at popular chain coffee houses.

We just returned from a wonderful Christmas worship service at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Orange, CA.  The music, sermon, and warmth of the friendly congregation was inspiring.  Here are some of the kids singing.

Today would have been the 99th birthday of my late father, Francis Lee Goff, who died in 2008 at 92 years of age.  I miss him still and hope I can live up to his example of kindness, curiosity, and decency.
