Elaine's Story
I would like to share my life journey.... well, actually, where I have been, and what I have done since high school (1973). I graduated from Bassett High School in 1973. In the fall of 1973, I took some classes at PCC (Pasadena City College), and then started working for a company in their Finance Department. I got married & had my son. I then decided to go back to college to work on furthering my education. I attended Cal-Poly Pomona, and received my Master in Computer Information Systems in 1983. was working on a project as a consultant and living in Manhattan. I was there to experience the horrible attack on the Twin Towers (World Trade Center). I still can’t explain how bad it was to be there. It is something that I will never forget. A few years later I returned to my hometown of California. I will tell you that there is no place as beautiful as California. I love it here. I don’t travel for work anymore, but I still work full-time in IT.
