Gordon's Story
My family moved from Denver to Charlotte, NC in January 1983. I was NOT happy about that, but I made the best of it. I attended UNC-Charlotte the following fall and wound up double-majoring and really enjoyed it. During school I got connected with a company where I was able to work part-time during class and full-time during the summers. This worked out well and I stayed there for four years in a professional position after graduation.
I considered moving back to Denver after graduation, which was where my heart was for many years, however my family is/was all still in Charlotte and it was more important to me ...Expand for more
to have them nearby. I never inteded to become a "Southerner" but I suppose I have, in some ways at least.
I am still In Charlotte, and find this a very nice place to live. Charlotte has changed dramatically in the time I've lived here.
I have a Mustang collection which includes my first car which I got in senior year. I have had 14 Mustangs over the years and bought myself new ones for my 20th, 25th and 40th birthdays, all of which I still have.
In the last few years I have become very involved in personal fitness, which has been revolutionary for me. I still enjoy commercial aviation and Sci-Fi as well.
