Grace's Story
Hello, all. How is everyone doing? Please write and let me know. It's amazing but the older we get, the more we have in common, I think. It seems we're all either caring for kids, caring for parents, or hoping our own kids don't do the same things we did at their age!
I have 3 businesses going right now, which I don't recommend. I am a Realtor, but my bread and butter comes from publishing a monthly real estate trade journal. I'm also about to start a similar magazine for doctors.
After graduating I worked 5 years at the now-defunct Bham Post-Herald as a writer and editor. Best job ever, though didn't pay anything. Left there to do healthcare writing at Baptist Health System, which evolved into marketing and advertising. Stayed there 11 years.

company doing Advertising and Training. Stayed there 6 years before leaving to start the magazine, working from home. Once you work from home it is VERY hard to go back into the corporate world.
Had two sons with my first husband, Don Chandler, Class of '75. Divorced in 2000 though still good friends, later met and married a fabulous guy from Indianapolis. Older son about to graduate from VHHS, younger son starting 9th grade this fall.
To this day I run into people from childhood who talk about the Fiorella's back yard being the best place ever - trampoline, football games all summer, jungle gym, motorcycles, etc. Looking back, I think they are right; we had it pretty good. My parents still live in the same house on Badham Drive which I wish I could buy, but my dad won't sell.
