Grace's Story
I retired in October of 2011. My husband John (class of 62 and husband of 46 years) retired in June of 2011. Both of our children live in the area and we have a 9 year old granddaughter - our daughter, Kim, is her mom. We are really enjoying this new stage in our lives. Worked a hectic job as a registered assistant to a stock broker for 22 years and love the quiet pace of life now. ere a married addition but we love them however they came into our lives. We have a cottage in northern Michigan that occupies a lot of our summer time. My parents and John's dad are gone but John's 93 year old mother lives in northern Michigan and is sharp and with it - plays bridge as often as she can and still has a martini each evening. John's 50th reunion is this year - not sure if we will attend. We have been blessed with living in the Kalamazoo area since John graduated from Western Michigan University in 1972. This is a great area to live, raise a family and be retired. Life has many possibilities and challenges - bring it on!
