Lauren's Story
I'm living in the Northwest - in Washington state. I work as a paralegal for a personal injury lawfirm. I'm married to the same guy for almost 30 years. I have grown twins - boy and girl - aged 19. One is in college in Oregon and the other is working as a volunteer in Kenya. We are empty-nesters and it's not bad!
We recently visited our daughter in Kenya for 3 weeks. We had a fabulous trip, mostly cultural - very little safari type stuff, although we did see many exotic animals. We lived in a small traditional village with a Massai family ...Expand for more
- actually our daughter's host family. Carley, our daughter, is home now, but is going back to Kenya again this summer. She will begin college as a Freshman in the fall.
Our son, Chris, runs track for the University of Oregon. He's a sophmore majoring in human physiology. He want to be a physical therapist. We get down to Oregon during track season about every other weekend to watch him race. Since our daughter will also be going to school in Oregon, we've thought of pulling up and moving to Oregon, but we really love it here in Bellingham.
