Grant's Story
Life
My life in Bullet Point Update:
1. Went to Western Washington University in the city of Subdued Excitement for 4.5 years and graduated in the Winter of 2002. Got my degrees in Communication and Audio Recording.
2. Lived in Seattle (Ballard to be exact) from 2002 - 2006 and worked for Barsuk Records, the best independent record label in the country. Home of Death Cab for Cutie, Rilo Kiley, Nada Surf, The Long Winters, John Vanderslice, Aqueduct, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Viva Voce, Jim Noir, Menomena.... just go to barsuk.com and see. 3. Got married in May of 2006 in Assisi, Italy. Elope... it's the only way to go.
4. Moved to New York in Sept of 2006 as Shannon, by beautiful and brilliant wife, is going to Columbia University to get her masters degree. We live in Morningside Heights. Harlem, the best part of town. Screw all of you Billyb...Expand for more

5. In NYC, I work for a combination of Barsuk Records and Flea Marketing, which does indie retail work for record labels like Barsuk, Dangerbird, Team Love, Hollywood, Bar-None, lots of Warner releases... Urgh, just go to flea-marketing.com if you care about record labels and see.
6. I spend all my free time making music, recording music, going to shows and trying to soak in as much of New York as I can while I'm here for 2 + years.
7. 2007/2008 plan: Quit all music industry jobs and try to work for Barak Obama's presidential campaign in Iowa or New Hampshire or something. That is, if he runs. Oh, and if I can get a job in politics even though I've never done it professionally before.
College
I lived at 1120 Grant Street and I miss the fall and summers in Bellingham. The city of subdued excitement was great while I was there, but I'm glad I'm not living there now.
