Greg's Story
My parents owned and operated the Rush Park Motel, and we were members of the Methodist Church. Moved from Independence, IA, West Elementary School,after the start of the 3rd grade (1966), to Childress,TX.
Moved from Childress, between Sophomore and Junior years, to Canyon, and graduated from another CHS - Canyon High School.
Jump, forward, to 2017..... My wife, Kim, and I live in Bertram, TX, NW of Austin. She was a Dental Assistant, prior to...Expand for more
being afflicted with Cerebellar Ataxia in 2017. Prior to being her care-giver , I was a Chaplain for a hospice provider, in nearby Marble Falls. Currently, we operate a guest room available through AirBnB and VEBO. Between us, we have four grown kids, along with four grandkids. All the rest of my family - Virginia (mom), Cindy (sister), Curt (brother), and Mark (brother) - are in Canyon. Don, my dad, passed away, near the end of June 2021.
