Greg's Story

Here is a short outline of where I've been: I was born in Euclid Ohio. I moved to Gates Mills when I was in 5th grade. When I was 16, our family moved to Estes Park CO. I finished high school in Estes. I earned a BS in Mining Engineering in 1981 from Colorado School of Mines. My summer jobs included working as a laborer in a strip coal mine in Illinois, working as carpenter in Estes, working as a surveyor at an open pit uranium mine in Wyoming and working as a longhole driller and a mucker in an underground uranium mine in Golde...Expand for more
n Colorado. I met Debbie in Estes and we started our family before I finished school. I consulted on mining & geologic software at Control Data and Union Pacific. In 1988 the energy industry had a slump so we moved to Huntsville AL and I joined Intergraph. I working on mapping software, then mechanical CAD s/w and finally on video s/w. My group was sold to and then laid off from SGI. I joined Mentor Graphics in Huntsville and then moved to Berthoud CO. We brought both of our boys out here so now the family is all in one place.
