Greg's Story
OK, OK, I guess it's time to actually put something in here. I'm seeing that not many do, but what the 'hey'. 'Gaint', as we used to say, or 'don't care'. Have one daughter about to graduate from a small, upstate New York college, the other is going to be a junior next year at U of Oregon. What can I say, they're GREAT! Did a 20-year stint with the State at an environmental agency, now teaching part-time at Sac State in Environmental Studies, and really enjoying it. The rest of the time is filled with hobbies, friends, travel, big fun and no shortage of things to do. My philosophy is 'there's no excuse for boredom'.
Did a stint in the Army as a helicopter pilot, which added to my airplane pilot skills - this was all after much protesting of the war - you know, that one. Did a little cowboying a couple of times in Colorado, drove a Yellow Cab around ...Expand for more
Sac for a short time (as did brother Gary), did a lot of radio, some TV production (still dabbling in that), and picked up a few degrees along the way. Have lived elsewhere, but keep gravitating back to Sac - no other place like it. Have done some traveling, and have lived in mid-town for almost 25 years now. Have to say, life is pretty good, considering all the problems of the world. I keep up on politics, still make a noise now and then, and really looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion. Have stayed in constant touch with John Grady, who now lives in our old house on Kenneth with his family, and this year we've been celebrating our 50th year of best-friendship. Quite an accomplishment these days. Hope you all are well, and surviving life's ups and downs - we need to all be thankful we're still here and, hopefully, making a difference.
