Greg's Story

Life Fellow graduates of 1967..wow it's been almost 40 years! I hope we have a reunion in 2007 and I hope someone shows up that I can remember! Bio in a box. Here goes. After graduating, I ran for the presidency of the United States. Didn't win. Just kidding. Attended good old Memphis State for 3 years, dropped out and got married in 1971. Still married to Kathy. Oh yeah, I went to Woodstock in 69'. Three days of peace and music. And mud. Kathy and I worked together as musicians/singers during 70's and 80's and traveled all over U.S. Daughter Michelle in 75' and son Preston in 81'. Lived in East Memphis all this time. I then resorted to sales jobs for many years to support my family and music "addiction". Got older and turned from liberal to conservative guy. Traveled to a few places for fun. Hawaii, England, France, Mexico, Bahamas and Canada. I think we still love Disney World the best. Fast forward to today. Sadly, my father died in 2004 and my mom is in a nursing home for dementia. My daughter married in 2006 and I'm anxiously awaiting grandchildren. I want to buy toys at ...Expand for more
Christmas again! I'm a Realtor for Crye-Leike and still play about 50 one nighters a year as a musician. My biggest influences in music are Paul McCartney and a newcomer Michael Buble'. Kathy is an office manager and we enjoy our once or twice a year vacations together very much. Dogs and cats all over the house and the kids are here also a couple of times a week. We can't get rid of them! ha, ha. Also involved alot with Civil War History. I'm a re-enactor, tour guide, speaker and defender of true Southern history. My great grandfather was in the Confederate infantry. I'll bet you have a Confederate in you family tree as well! I'm jealous of my son who is as skinny as I was in High School and he's even taller than me just to spite me! :) My best memories of Central were a small group of friends that shared growing up together and musical performances in chorus with Mrs. Westberry leading us. Being in the Central High production of "Oklahoma" and playing the 2nd lead male part in "South Pacific" were highlights! I try to thank God every day for our blessings. Life is pretty good.
