Gregg's Story
Jal is back to growing!!!
We've been able to recruit a Family Dollar store to Jal! Its about 3/4 of the way built and should be in operation by 1st of March!
The old Jr. High building is fixing to come back to life!
We've been able to raise about $2 Million in grants to fix the old building up. LES has partnered with the city of Jal to lease part of it for a wharehouse for their uranium enrichment plant.
We also hope to bring a house manufacturin...Expand for more
g plant in to it also(just in talks with themat this time).
Potash has been found just west of Jal. Supposedly 100 years worth of it and a very high grade of it.
Since becoming a County Commissioner economic development has been my main priorty and after 3 years things are finanly taking shape.
We were able to get a $250<000.00 grant for the Jal Country Club to rebuild the water sprinkler system and the course is really starting to look good!!!
