Kim's Story

Life Hmm, bio? Okay, during my younger less mature ages of 20 to 30, I pretty much just ran around with the girls. I had a couple of lengthy relationships. I got a real job working for a software company at 28. Bought a house at 32. Met my hubby at 33. Happily married him at 35. Had my beautiful daughter, Alexandra, 10 months later (it was a great honeymoon!), and had my handsome son 19 months later. Whew, that was a mouth full! I have been a stay at home mom now for the past 6 years and I love every chaotic minute of it. We are so blessed to be able to do this in this day and age. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!! We, as a family, spend most of our time running around from baseball field to soccer field, etc., and hanging with the kiddies. Gregg coaches the kids teams and I usually get the "Team Mom" job. Gregg wishes he could play golf more often but he hardly has time to mow the lawns. I think now that Dominic is of golf age (8) and the fact that the little guy loves it so much (a serious sports fanatic!!!), Gregg now has a life partner in golf and will start playing again! Yeah... Horses for the girls and golf for the boys!!! My daughter and I have been taking horseback riding lessons for about 2 years now and has recently started...Expand for more
barrel racing in competition. She is excited and I am a wreck. We are now leasing one of the faster horses on the ranch and we have experienced the "wipe out." Our lives have really changed over the past 5 years. We attend church regularly now and in October (2007) I was blessed to serve God in Haiti on a short term (one week) womens mission trip. It was awesome and I recommend mission trips for everyone. People say you'll come back a different person... well I wondered about that but it happened to me too. I just remember the wave of emotion that came over me on my 1st day back. Standing in line for coffee at my grocery store coffee house waiting for the coffee I had gone without for the past week. I was so excited to get one. While I waited, my eyes roamed over the aisles and aisles of food available to us. I just threw my arms around Gregg's neck and started balling. It really hurt my heart to remember the starving and naked children I had just left only one day before. I really have been changed forever. I am so grateful for everying little thing but know now that I can be content and happy with so much less. You just never know where your blessings will come from. PS.
