Life After High School,I went into the Navy. I was tested and I qualified in the top 10% of the Navy for Submarine Duty that is Voluntary. I Volunteered to serve for Submarine Duty. After Submarine School I went to sea on a Submarine and everyone on a Submarine Duty has to be Qualified on Submarines. Qualified Submarines means you have to know every switch and valve were they are located and what happens. You have to know Everything even how to drive it. Everyone has to be Qualified. Submarine Service is the only Qualified Service out of all of the Military Branches of Service. I served on the USS John C. Calhoun SSBN 630 from 1984-1986. I served on the USS Tecumseh SSBN 628 from 1986-1988. Was discharged in 1988 as a disabled VET. I was crushed between two torpedoes. Now I have been married for 28 years. Alberta and I have a 27 year old son. I now live in Indianapolis Indiana. I worked for NSK bearing corporation for 17 years. Was put on long term disability from my company. I have had 4 knee surgeries.back surgery, both shoulders surgeries,part of my left shoulder is gone, I have had surgeries on both hands. The V.A. doctors say I am to young for a knee replacement and I have to be 55yrs old. Since they will not replace it,the V.A. has me on morphine 24/7/365 along with a lot of other medication so the pain is not so severe.
