I now have settled down in Hawaii. Hey! Someone had to do it! I work for the Air Force on Oahu. I get to work with many brilliant people all day long, figuring out seemingly impossible solutions to complex challenges so that our armed forces can project themselves with confidence across the globe. Most of my effort involves identifying requirements through analysis and working on solutions for technical, doctrinal and organizational challenges. Over the years I've also dallied with Quality management and training techniques, served as an aircrew operator and trainer, managed operations training and weapons & tactics shops and was afforded many great learning and life experiences! y witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. I flew and planned missions during Desert Storm in Iraq and enjoyed the challenge of staying focused while working in Key West, just 90 miles from Cuba! I spent far too much time working electronic warfare and finally got to bring it all together as an advisor to senior leaders. I loved it so much that when I retired, I converted to a civilian company and continued for ten more years working in much the same capacity as what I retired from. I now serve as a DAF civilian doing capabilities based planning on Oahu! I still spend some of my time traveling on business across the U.S. and even some occasional trips throughout the Pacific area. Singapore is a must see! The travel allows me to stay in touch with long-time friends and make new ones in strange places.
