Life
Spawned five kids, four of whom are grown. [Felt an obligation to improve the gene pool.]
Graduated from Chapel Hill, got an MBA from Webster U, won a fellowship to Oxford to study intl trade and finished up with MA in Intl Econ from Georgetown U. Taught an occasional course at U of Md in government or international management. Uncle Sam invited me to participate in unusual activities in Asia, Africa, Middle East, and Central America, and I did interesting stuff with unusual government organizations.

Military
Drafted in 1968. Commissioned in Military Intelligence. Served in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand,Central America, and Africa doing unusual things. Formed and commanded three special military intelligence units. Special Advisor to the White House on counter-narcotics. Formed and managed the Dept of Defense HUMINT program which is now under the DNI. Retired in 1990. Provide periodic advice to the Pentagon and other government organizations.
