Gregory's Story
Hi Ya'll:
It's time for a little update. Spencer, my oldest, is now officially in the United States Army as of June 7th. Oh, I don't need sleep for the next three years anyway. If he gets deployed then.......I'll just have to do a lot of praying.
Zachary, my youngest, will turn 18 tomorrow on July 10th. Can you believe the kid still does not have his drivers license. I had to make him get his temps and I have to make him drive so that he can be practiced. Of course his reasoning is that he'll have to use his money to pay for gas. Little tight wad.
As for me, I'm still working. I say this with fingers crossed. The good news is that our little terminal in Dayton did bring back 36 of the 70 layed off road drivers back but as of this moment have only called back 3 of the 100 layed off dock workers. I am optimistic about my comp...Expand for more
any's future but it's going to take a lot of work for all involved to survive this economic down turn.
---------------------------------------
I left Louisiana in 1986 and moved into yankee land, smack in the middle of the Ohio Valley where I met my ex-wife and had two sons. Except for the divorced part it was the best thing that could have happened to me.
The boys live with me full time, well I say that but I never see them. Almost like having cats in the house. You know they are there but you never see them.
Spencer graduates this year and is off to college with a full ride scholarship from the Army ROTC program. Zachary my youngest will be a senior in high school. My how the time does fly.
As for me, I try to play as much golf as I can and date a girl here and there. Hmm, life is good!
Ya'll don't be bashful. Say hello.
