Gregory is from Atlanta, Georgia. Gregory's schools include Turner High School. Gregory later attended Morehouse College (Computer Science, Mathematics) . Music Gregory likes includes Salsa dancing, Phyllis Hyman, Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite. Books Gregory likes include A People's History of the United States, Conversations with God, Think on These Things. Movies Gregory likes include The Secret, A Beautiful Mind, What The Bleep Do We Know?. TV shows Gregory likes include Discovery, The Universe, Star Trek. One of Gregory's favorite quotes is:"- A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. - Without good health, you can never be happy. - The First Wealth is Health! - What's the best vitamin for making friends?? Answer: B-1. - A vision without the ability to execute is probably a hallucination. - No one can figure out the future merely by extending past trends; it's like trying to drive by looking only at the rear-view mirror - Break a bad habit - Drop it - A rich person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least. Corollary: The more you know, the less you need. - Minds are like parachutes - they function only when open! - It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it! - Swallowing your pride seldom leads to indigestion. - Life is not so much a matter of "position" as of "disposition" - Security is a state of mind - "confidence is beauty ..." . Corollary "self-doubt is destructive...." - To argue with a person that has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead. Thomas Paine - Do not educate your child to be rich, educate him to be happy. So when he grows up h'ell know the value of things, not the price. - All the dogs barking up the wrong tree don't make it the right tree! Said another way, " Sometimes the majority only means that all the Fools are on the same side" - The biggest lie on the planet: "When I get what I want I will be happy". This point underlines the fact that life is a journey... not a destination. - If your ship doesn't come in, swim out to it. Also, "When your ship comes in... make sure you are willing to unload it" - When wealth is lost, nothing is lost. When health is lost, something is lost. When character is lost, all is lost. - A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. - Do what you love and you want have to work a day in your life. - God loves you just as you are but too much to leave you that way! - As we face life's challenges, "Failure is the path of least persistence"..... - Many times we are our own worst critics - "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." - “Don't let material things define you...” - "In the school of life, don't major in the minor, that is, don't sweat the small stuff!" - Yesterday was the deadline for all complaints - Life is a journey... not a destination. Enjoy the trip!!!! - The biggest lie on the planet: "When I get what I want I will be happy". - No one can ruin your day without your permission. - Others can stop you temporarily, only you can do it permanently. - Money is a good servant but a cruel master. "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it." Chinese Proverb. If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you can't. The choice is yours..... Living in the Moment: - Now is the most interesting time of all. - If you live in the past, you have no future. - "If you live in the moment, life can be infinite!" - Every moment is the gift of the present. - "Remember that your perception of the world is a reflection of your state of consciousness. You are not separate from it, and there is...Expand for more
no objective world out there. Every moment, your consciousness creates the world that you inhabit." ~ Eckhart Tolle - it is best to live in the present because that is the gift we know we have right now. - If we live in the moment, every day is a birthday....:-) - "I want to be what I was when I wanted to be what I am now." - (Ray Prince) In other words, to me he's saying "live in the moment"! :-) THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS NOT STRAIGHT - The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine fueled by a mixture of Perseverance, Awareness, and Change; insurance called Faith, you will make it to a place called Success. Said simpler: - "A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor". - Success stops when you do. - Success is getting Up one more time. FREEDOM vs TYRANNY When the government fears the people you have freedom. When the people fear the government, you have tyranny. Thomas Jefferson THE SUBJECT OF DANCE!!! The harmony that can exist between two people is often exemplified by the partnership of the dance. The expression of one is of service to the other based upon the shared experience. Our expression defines us and our consciousness suppplies the meaning. Life without music and dance? Empty!!! It's intrinsic to the human species. Isolated civilizations are found to listen and move their bodies (dance) to music. Whether it be simply the beating of drums, dance and music soothes the soul. What ever happens in our lives, we will always be connect thru DANCE !!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a roll of toilet paper.....the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. So have fun, stay away from negative people, throw our nonessential numbers including age, think 'good thoughts' only, learn to laugh at yourself, and 'count your blessings!! We'll be friends until we are old and senile. Then, we'll be new friends every day thereafter. :-) “Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.” - Albert Einstein While traveling through life, Fog is exceedingly dangerous to drive in, especially if it's mental....". More about Gregory:"Favorite affirmation: " I believe my path is mine alone and I know that I am where I should be at this time, space and place." This affirmation reminds me of the philosophy of Confucius. To Confucius, Dow (which is " my path") is the way a person travels through life. One of the problems is that each man’s task path is different. There is no one Dow that is right for everyone. This is why no one should try to change another person. That person has to change himself. :-) Lesson #489 "Pain Is Inevitable But Misery Is Optional" A gifted orator once said "Pain is inevitable but misery is optional." Thought-provoking and mind-blowing huh? My response: This is true based on your level of conciousness. :-) PHILOSOPHY In one of those deep type conversations I was having with someone one day, I was explaining that you don't see the world as it is, you see the world as you are, that is, you see the world through your own established mindset based on your own life's experiences. Therefore, if we can be mentally objective, agree to disagree agreeably, and learn from one another – life can be quite exciting and the world would be a much better place to live.... :-)! Also, "Truth is a moving target". A lot of what we consider "truth" is defined by the environment we live in. Continue to "think outside the box" my brotha as we take life's journey. That's where life begins....l".
