Gregory's Story

After graduating from Highland High in 1974, Greg worked as a carpenter in Bakersfield's construction boom. Greg loved building and found his way onto the job sites of new homes, schools, and the new Cal State Bakersfield campus. In 1976 Greg moved to Red Bluff, CA and attended Shasta College in Redding. In 1978 he transferred to UC Davis, receiving the Bachelor's degree in Economics in 1980. Greg began a financial planning practice in Sacramento and added to his credentials with the Certified Financial Planner designation. He served as host of the "Mind Over Money" financial talk show on AM 650. In 1995 Greg was ...Expand for more
president of the Rotary Club of North Sacramento, when he hosted an international visitor from Chile. The visitor, Andrea Krauss was to become his life partner. Over the following year he traveled to Chile seven times until Andrea had no resistance left. She agreed to marry him and come to California. In 2004 Andrea and Greg were blessed with identical twin daughters, Victoria and Sophia, and the Lucas family was complete. Today Greg continues advising individual and corporate financial planning clients. Andrea is a professor of Spanish at Sacramento City College. The twins Victoria and Sophia are in first grade.
