Life
Still in the Navy, now as an instructor at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in South Carolina. Still married to Wendy, and our kids are now 9 (Andrew), and 7 (Erica).
Military
I joined the Navy after attending Texas A&M for a year...I went to boot camp in Orlando, FL, and continued into the Nuclear Propulsion Program there as well. I went to New York to complete my training and then was stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USS Oklahoma City fast attack submarine. l Harbor, HI. We were only in paradise for 2 years, but we had Andrew while there. I went to shore duty next as a recruiter in Dallas. I started off as an enlisted recruiter, but after 6 months I was moved to take over the Nuclear and Civil Engineer officer programs. After 3 years in Dallas, it was time again to go to sea. This time in Bremerton, WA on the USS Georgia, a ballistic missile submarine. Just as the boat was changing homeport to Norfolk, I made chief (E-7) and was able to transfer to Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, SC where I am currently an instructor in Basic Machinery.
