Yo!
Well, I left the quaint little town of Waynesville and moved to Naples, FL. Spent the next 11 years there (it really is a beautiful town... the city of "landscaped medians"). Most of that was spent welding and fabricating.
I suffered a ruptured disk along about 1987, and had some doctors cut on my back a couple of times. Welding career was over, then.
Started attending college in Ft. Myers (just north of Naples). Eventually moved to Ft. Myers to be closer to school. Majored in computer science and received an AS Degree there.
Later moved to Clearwater, FL for a position as a computer technician at the Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens (UPARC). My main task there was to develop payroll software ...Expand for more
to "get them out of the dark ages".
Later I changed into the hardware side, working at a couple of computer stores in Clearwater. Eventually moved back to Naples (I sure do like that town).
I moved into the cellular industry after computer stores in Naples kept closing from under me (go to work one day... the store's closed... it got old). Spent the next 6 years in cellular as an installer and technician.
Later, moved from Naples to a "suburb" of Panama City, FL (in the panhandle). as of this writing... I'm stil there. Attending college again to acquire the next 2 years (AA Degree).
I welcome some of the old friends I used to hang with (you know... behind the Bricklaying Building) getting in touch.
