Gregory's Story
Military
As a senior in high school, I enlisted in the US Naval Reserve in September, 1963. I was an active drilling reservist in an Intelligence Unit from that time until reporting to active duty in December 1966. I reported to active duty as an Aviation Electricians Mate striker and served as a TAR from Dec 66 to Oct 69 at NARTU, NAS Washington, D.C. n's Mate 3rd Class, and reported to the inactive reserves for two years. After completing a Master's degree in April 1974, I was commissioned a LTJG (Special Duty Intelligence) through a direct commissioning program. From 1974 until retirement in 1997, I served in various Intelligence units and in various intelligence roles, including XO and CO, earning the rank of CAPTAIN. (See Military Profile for details)
