Gregory's Story

Life Hi there. Writing in 10/2005. After HS, went immediately to Democratic National Convention in Chicago - yeah - that one, in '68. Hitched out there and discovered that the whole world was a thumb away. Got a ride with a car-load of Black Panthers out of Buffalo. What a trip. Then kept going to the coast and my fate was sealed. Did a perfunctory year and a half at SUNY Albany, then hitched around the US for a year and then 4 years in Europe and Asia. Studied locally most of that time, including a year each in Denmark, Turkey and India. A few years later became a Union organizer in health care and did that about 12 ...Expand for more
years in Boston and Hartford. (bunch more school along the way). Then burned out and turned a little hobby of stock trading and early computer use into a business that got way out of hand... and I'm still in it, 9 years later. Very involved in anti-Iraq-war activity and other peace & justice stuff. Interests include anthropology, science, and mostly my 14-year old daughter - an amazing little woman. Married for 20 years and separated in January - still good friends. Write me at my first initial, last name at spearreport dot you-know-what. I'm not a "gold" member so I won't get email sent through the classmates system.
