Gregory Franklin Withrow:  

I volunteered for the West Virginia Air National Guard to serve my country in 1980 through 1986, after school went to work on the river tug boats for G & C towing co. Out of Point Pleasant WV & served a 6 year inlistment as a base maintinence vehicle specialist which is a fancy name for a grease monkey , ( mechanic in other words ) , both at the same time ! I've got 3 kids now my 1st born a daughter named Tiffany dawn , named after the jewelry store because she's daddy's little jewel , a son named James Gregory who is my young little man & another son from my 3rd & final marriage named Christopher George who is a great man of God & 9 grandkids ranging from 2 to 14 yrs old going on 30 & I couldn't be more prouder of how my kids have grown into respectable young men & woman ! I moved to Virginia for work for 20 yrs & joined a motorcycle club called the Second Brigade MC , we were an associate club to the Vietnam vets MC , we also had another club called the legacy vets MC & we were 3 patches in one brotherhood & one club ! We gained a lot of respect in the motorcycle world as a military club & 2 para military clubs as a 3 piece patch flying in a 1% world ! Having to deal with the big 4 -1%er clubs , we let them know if we were starting a new chapter in they're town or city as a sign of respect but we never had to ask permission , unlike all the rest of the clubs trying to make a name for themselves , we already had they're respect from the beginning mainly because most of us volunteered to serve in our country's military to protect the freedom that most Americans take for granted ! It was good times & one of the better parts of my life along with joining the WV Air National Guard & I can tell you all , the best way to see the country is on 2 wheels not on 4 in a cage ! If you ever get the chance to travel on a motorcycle , take it from an Ol broken down WV redneck scooter tramp you won't regret it one bit ! From a different side of my life , I would say the one part of my life that started out as fun but became a nessecessity , was being a drunk & dope fiend for over 28 yrs but ive been clean & sobar for over 26 yrs now by the grace of God ! Even though it was a dark part of my life , just like everybody else , we all have to go through all of the bad things in our lives to get to where we are today ! It's only by Gods glorious grace & him allowing it , that we get to see another day because we are never promised tomorrow , yesterday is already gone that's why they call it history , tomorrow is the future & isn't even here yet , all we have is today ! live life to the fullest like every day is your last ! We've grown up now , it's time to take off the rose colored glasses & blinders & take life by the horns , ride it for all its worth & live it one day at a time , living life on life's terms ! Enough about me , I hope you all have had a blessed life thus far because Gods been watching over us all the whole time ! Just remember when we might have seen 2 sets of footprints in the sand he was walking beside us & when we saw only one set of footprints he was definetly carrying us ! So please never forget our Lord & savior , praise & thank him every day for what ever he gives us because he loves us all unconditionally & will absolutely never abandon us the rest of our days ! We're just biding our time here on earth waiting for our ticket home to our Fathers kingdom , the pearly gates & all of its glorious & wonderful gifts & golden oppertunities that God promised each & everyone of us !
