Gretchen's Story
Long ago I lived in Elkins WV, loved it and still in my heart it will always be home.
I married in 1965, had 2 children, both grown and on thier own. I'm divorced and have been for the last 20 years.
Went to school for interior design, got my degree and found out later there is no money in it unless you own your own business. So I free lance that at times.
For a real job I'm a CNA, nursing assist. Love it, work in a nursing home, 3-11 usually and might be changing to daylight. On 3-11 you have very little contact with a life.
Ten years ago I sold our family home and bought a smaller more manageable home that won't kill me to maintain.
Now I work, take care of the yard whatever time is permitting, and do the fun stuff I can.

ved it. Last year took in a dude ranch and played cowgirl for a week and loved that.
I grab time when I can to go to Elkins and meet up with my sister Vicki, we are very close. For those of you who know my brother David we live close and I talk and see them often. Times too short when I come home to try and find anybody. I'm sure most of you an relate.
That's it for me. Hope to hear from some of you. I have some fun memories and many hazy ones. Faces I sometimes remember but putting name and faces together messes me up.
Have a good one to all.
I hope I'm remembered as a kind caring person. Homelife wasn't the greatest so I missed out on many activities and school fun. All has turned out well , time heals all things.
Miss Quarters math class and how bored I was and looking at her didn't make life easier.
