Gretchen's Story
After highschool, I went to beauty school and got my license, decided it sucked and took a men's hairstyling class where I met my husband. Decided that sucked too, took office classes and worked as a secretary for a short time but didn't really like that either. Then I got a job working for the phone company which also sucked but at least it paid well so I stuck with it until I gave birth to my first child. I loved being pregnant and being a Mom,(finally, something that didn't suck!) I had two more kids but unfortunately, my marriage didn't last so I went back to college and took class...Expand for more
es in the one thing I loved, kids, and got my AA in Early Childhood Education. I had a licensed preschool/daycare out of my home for 12 years in Palmdale until my grandchildren who lived next door moved away. Then I became a "stocker grandma" and followed them to Lancaster. Now I am a "Professional Grandmother" living in Lancaster, which sucks, but I don't mind because I have my grandchildren and my new "baby", Honey. Sure, she has four legs, but no one is perfect. I still come into the Valley every week to check on my Dad who is in a nursing home and my Mom who is 86 and still bowls!
