Life
After graduating from Mayfield High, I went right into college (NMSU; graduated in 1981 in Agricultural Biology and Pest Management)and I worked for USDA, APHIS (Cooperative ED.). After college, I went to work for USDA, APHIS for a year in McAllen, Texas. I met my husband in Arizona while I was waiting for that particular job. He moved with me out to Texas and got married there by the Justice of the Peace. Came back to Las Cruces to have another wedding. We moved back to Arizona in 1982. to school to obtain a teaching certificate. I taught one year and decided to be a stay-at-home mom. I have 2 kids: Rachel (22) and Tim (24). I live in Glendale, Arizona. My husband is a nuclear aux. operator at the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. I am a jewelry (beaded) designer and polymer clay artist. I enjoy traveling with my husband.
Two of my fondest memories from high school were treating my friends at Dairy Queen (where I worked to pay for my car) and hanging out with my friends during the football games. Teachers that most influenced me were Mrs. Brittle and Mr. Sokoll.
