Guay's Story
In my early years, all I wanted was to be a nurse, a mother, and a wife. Accomplied 2 out of 3. Married at age 21, first baby at 21, second baby at 22, and last baby at 25. Took many years for me to learn that I needed something for me and not just being someone's wife, mother, sister, daughter.Divorced and headed back to the books. Earner BS at age 42, MSW at 45, and Ph.D. at 56.This may be my obsessiveness coming out.
Remarried great guy--20 years togethr then he died of cancer in 1998. Continued with my career as a forensic social worker completing men...Expand for more
tal health and substance dependency evals for the court. Kids grew up, produced wonderful grandkids. If I had known how much fun grandkids were, I would have had them first.
Retired in 2003 from the State of CT,but I have been doing some private practice work. Recently, my intrests have turned to photography. This is a very different medium than social work, but maybe I can combine the care of our community and its people with photography. Started a little business called, "Images of Life."
