es I joined the Texas Army National Guard and served for 8 years. Most of my career was spent in academia, and I served as Dean of Nursing at two universities--Marshall University and Texas Woman's University. My final job before my retirement in 2008 was as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas Woman's University. I have continued to live in Denton, TX and have been enjoying many very interesting travels. Since 2005 I have reconnected with many of my friends from Augsburg and we have enjoyed several reunions.
