Carl's Story
Those who remember me, I played High School Football and pretty much stayed out of trouble. After high school, I went Surfing more often, went to College, got a job at the Post Office and joined the Army National Guard. After spending 40 years at the Post Office and 36 years with the National Guard, I retired. y service. Now that I'm retired I watch my grandson, go surfing once and while locally and hike in the hills behind my home in Portuguese Bend (Palos Verdes Area). For a Hobby, I picked up a Cold War Vietnam era Army Military Jeep that was the exact model (M151A1) I drove when I joined the Military Service. I fixed it up with the markings of the military unit that was at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro. I cruise my neighborhood and drive the coastline near my home on warm days I also show it off at local car shows. The Army Jeep is a big hit with all military Veterans and most kids love it.
