Guy's Story
Life
After ZAHS I graduated from University of Tulsa with a degree in Political Science in 1968. I was drafted in the Army & was stationed at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. & I taught Motion Picture Photoraphy until I went to Vietnam in 1970. After being discharged I moved to S.F.,Ca. & I was with the S.F. Sup. Ct. until I retired in 2006. During my career I held various positions including courtroom clerk for 14 yrs. & I retired as the court administrator of the Criminal and Traffic Courts. Since retirement I swim with a gay/lesbian swim team I helped form in 1986. I swim competively and have swum in the Gay Games since their inception in S.F. in 1982. I love to garden, dine with friends and I am committed to working for political causes and candidates who share my liberal perspective. rvivor of HIV for over 25 yrs. I have been blessed with fairly good health and I remain positive in body and spirit. Having lost over 50 friends to AIDS I look forward to the day when there is a cure for this disease. I have tried to learn from my past while staying connected to the present and ever hopeful for the future. Workplace
I am the administrator for the Criminal/Traffic Courts of S.F.Superior Court. I am in charge of the physical plant of the court and see to the needs of 20 judges, 3 commisioners and approx. 150 employees. I came up through the ranks of the Court starting as a temporary employee. I clerked for a judge for 14 years and finally went into management 6 years ago. I plan to retire in 3 years.
