Guy's Story

After graduation, I tried college, then went into the Navy. Served aboard the USS Newport News (CA-148) in Vietnam in 1972. Ran into Gail Beasley in the D.C. area when I was helping a friend move out of an apartment. She was moving in! Got out of the Navy in April 1974 and rode home on my motorcycle. Spent from 1975 to 1986 in the Army Reserves/National Guard, retiring as a Captain, ...Expand for more
Armor. In the meantime, I earned by BA in Communications/PR in 1985. Worked in a number of newspapers as a reporter, photographer, editor and finally as a managing editor in Pullman, WA, from 1986-88. Changed careers at that point, and got into computers. I recently retired after more than 20 years in higher education as a systems administrator and information security professional.
