Since Burdick It's been a journey since Burdick, but it's all good in the end. I've experienced some of the more typical things: college, career, marriage, children and the regular hustles and bustles of life. Some of the not-so-typical things have been my travels [e.g., to London, Nigeria, Canada, Guyana (South America for missions work) and various places in the U.S.] and the death of my husband at a prime time in our lives. Through it all, though, I consider myself quite blessed. Since Burdick, I've run into a few of you (including Ms. Woodard and Ms. Hall) out and about, but definitely not as many of you as I thought I would, given I continued to live and work in the D.C. metro area after college. What Inspires Me (1) My inspiration definitely comes from God. He's brought me and carried me through quite a bit and I'm confident he'll do nothing less than that as I continue to move forward in life. (2) As I look back, I realize that music also played a major part in inspiring and encouraging me and in maintaining my sanity in earlier years and even now. I love it...and love to sing...and can't imagine a life without it. (3) Lastly, true love inspires me. When asked whether I would marry again someday, my answer is a definite "yes, if the opportunity presents itself, at the right time and it's the right person." I enjoyed being married. Unbelievable!!
