I was born, âwound tighter than an eight day clockâ as my Grandmother used to say. She wisely found outlets for my energy. I took piano, violin, drum, tap, ballet, and baton lessons. This laid the foundation for my comfort on stage and with crowds. Every time an activity became available I joined in. I taught Sunday school and tutored learning disabled children when I got to high school. People sometimes ask me, âWhat do you do in your spare time.â I donât believe there is any such thing as âspare time.â I have none to waste. I want to enjoy every minute.".
