Hadayai's Story
To make this short and sweet. I was blessed to go to college on a band scholarship and finished in 1977. I also went into the military the summer of my junior year of college (only had four hours left). I have had my ups and downs not unlike many people partly due to my stubborness and dare devil personality in my youth. Stayed in the military for six years did some of my tour in KC (VA Hosp., Truman Medical Center). In between all the traveling had a son in 1977 just after I graduated from collge. He is now 32 years old. After I left KC in 1981 I went to Texas worked at various jobs in the medical and technical field as laboratory technician.
Got laid off in 1991 from American Airlines in Ft. Worth,TX and came to Atlanta. Work temp jobs for a while, got married, divorce, married, divorce, etc. Finally started writing (make some money at it) and started a non-profit group (Baitul Salaam) we assist people with food, shelter, etc.
Like most people old age spread has caught up with me. I am working out, cutting back on eating and trying to lose 50 pounds this year. Must drop the pounds to keep my health on track. Started ...Expand for more
dancing again (pole and belly). I got married again in 1998 and we are still married. I have a demanding mutt name Dusty.
To know more about what I have been doing just contact me. The photo of me is when I managed a national toy drive last year. The toys went to children who live in low income homes. I was nominated to a group that was nominated for the Noble Peace Prize in 2005.
I see a few people ever great now and then in my travels. Several people from KC live here in Atlanta (mostly people from the class of 1975 and 1976). My sister Debbie is in Duncanville, TX with her husband and one stepchild a senior in high school her other step children are grown and gone. I am a greataunt however not a grand mother yet. My son seems to be taking his time about settling down to married life.
I converted to Islam in December of 1992 (yeah me Muslim long skirts and all very stylish however). I am still in the faith and very happy.
My father passed in 1993 we came back to KC for the funeral and mom passed in TX in 2005 a couple of months after my 50th birthday.
If you come this way (Atlanta) let me know.
