Kathryn's Story

Hi All, It's so weird thinking about that time of my life, it seems so long ago, but here it is... Graduated from high school (in 1991 I somehow put the wrong year in when I registered and haven¿t figured out how to change it) and went on to College at Green river (I didn¿t know what else to do). Worked full time at a craft store, while I was working on a degree in art, and realized that I would probably finish and still be working at the craft store¿ for the rest of my life! What are you crazy!?! I thought, I love this, its fun¿ but not for the rest of my life! So I finished up that quarter and joined the air force (to see the world, I thought) and got sent to San Antonio, Texas for basic training. Then I went to Wichita Falls¿ah¿ Texas, for technical training¿ Then, surprise! Back to san Antonio for the second part of training¿ from there on to my air force career in Respiratory Therapy in you guessed it San Antonio Texas. as. Well a lot of Texans think Texas is the world, so I guess it just depends on your perspective. While I was here I found that I actually liked a lot about Texas and San Antonio. The next couple years sped by I got married, had my son, graduated from UTSA, had my daughter, went back to school, and got divorced. It really seems like it happened that fast but it has been about 14 years! Wow! My son is 7 (just had a birthday) and my daughter is (4 going on 25). I have remarried to a wonderful man and have added him and his son (age 10) to my family. I love them all so much, and cannot believe how much fun we all have! I am incredibly busy being a mom, I volunteer at the kids schools and work from home (I love the flexibility). I hope to eventually go back to school to finish my master's degree, but for now it has to wait, I just don't have time. I have a lot of fond memories from Kentridge and would love to hear from any old friends. That's all folks for now! p.s. I am also on face book!
