Life
HI. I began Central after junior high at Lee. Unfortunately I moved to Abilene after the 2nd six weeks of my junior year at Central, but my heart always remained at Central/San Angelo. I graduated from Cooper high in Abilene in 1965. I graduated from McMurry in Abilene with a BBA in marketing. Two years in the army. Retail management for a couple of years, then got into high tech manufacturing. Married for 20 years, been divorced for 7. Four wonderful, intelligent, funny children, ages 17 - 26. The company I worked for was acquired by 3M in '82. My job title is Business Sourcing Manager. k with my hands for stress relief from the corporate job. I build hi-fi speakers veneered in things like rosewood. I still have a strong sense of humor. Does anyone know where Frank VanSickle or Laura Rogers are?
1/30/2021 update: I retired from 3M in 2018 after 38 years and 9 months at that great company. I'm still a paddler on the corporate Dragon Boat Racing Team (photo above is from 2014 when our boat won first place in Austin's annual Dragon Boat Festival and Races.
Workplace
I grew up in retailing, working my way through college working in a supermarket. I was always attracted to high tech, so managed to get a job as purchasing manager at an Austin high tech firm, which was acquired by 3M in 1982. I'm involved in negotiation contracts and working with new product development teams.
