Life We attended Fort Hunt High School in Alexandria, VA for freshman and sophomore years. We then moved to San Diego where we attended Patrick Henry High School for junior and senior years. We left Patrick Henry HS to attend Washington University in St. Louis. We spent 3.5 years there getting a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. I 'spose not much relevant happened, except in the summer of '73 we fell madly in love with Barbara from North Tonawonda when we attended an internship thingy-do at Argonne National Labs near Naperville, IL. She went to Duke, so I worked on getting a summer job in North Carolina during the summer of '74. Sigh, it just wan't meant to be. I got the job, but not the girl. But that's how I came to work for IBM in North Carolina. I graduated in December of '74 ('cause I'm so freakin' smart, although I would have rather spent another semester at Wash U. having fun). Since I couldn't convince IBM to give me a permanent job immediately, I enrolled in graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill. That lasted three semesters until I got tired of going to school and I focused all my energies on IBM. So, I have been working for IBM for the last 30 years, all of it in Retail Store Systems, most of it in customer support for the proprietary operating systems that we have used to run our systems.
