Growing up after Pershing has been a great lesson in life, love and the pursuit of happiness. As you'll can see, I joined the Air Force which has allowed me to travel to places I never thought a young african american woman from the big city would ever have the chance in a lifetime to do. No, this is not a promotion for the military but it truly is an experience that will fullfill all of your desires. It's full of endless opportunities not otherwise available without money or having connections in the right places. My family and I have been priviliged to travel the world and we've met people from nearly every country. We've also participated in their various cultures/traditions and it has been an awesome experience. Believe it when you hear that this is a small world...I've actually ran into a couple of classmates during my journey...Carmilita "Lisa" (Pershing)at a resort near the Austria/Germany border and Rivia (Nolan) in Northern Japan. It has been an honor and a pleasure to protect and serve our country...but remember the price of freedom isn't free.
