Harriet Eagal's Story
I was very shy in high school, and had a small circle of friends. Several of them are still my closest friends now after 40 years. I always made good grades, and never got into trouble. I tried to be invisible mostly, blending into the background.
I guess I always thought I'd be a secretary and work in an office. I worked for the same attorney since 1974 as a legal assistant/paralegal, and imagined I'd still be working at age 70. Unfortunately, I was forced to stop working and go on disability at 57. Bummer!

I love to watch television, and that's how I relax. I am a true "couch potato." Television was invented with ME in mind - I can channel surf all day (easy with cable tv's 100+ channels) - I get carried away to some other planet with science fiction, or some other life with romances/dramas, or get a dose of reality with the news and current events. I also really enjoy surfing the net on my computer; so many interesting things to read and learn.
My heros: Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Christopher Reeve.
