Passionate, true and straight from the heart ... Singer , Songwriter , Producer Charles J is definitely bringing R&B back in the best kind of way! Charles Harris Jr. aka "Charles J" was born in raised in Norfolk, Virginia (USA). He came from a very supportive family that instilled the belief in him that 'he can do and be anything he wanted' as long as he believed in himself and worked hard to achieve his dreams!
Sir "Charles J" is a true veteran of the music game in his own right. Not only did begin singing at the early age of five years old -- but he began to write songs at age thirteen and became a member of an R&B singing group when he was seventeen! The group signed with CBS Records and years later the group split. But this breakup did not stop Charles ... he was going to keep on pushing forward no matter what! So he signed a deal with Teddy Riley at Future Records. After Charles's contract was up -- he took another opportunity. Charles then went on the road and opened in Virginia and other cities for R. His love and passion for God definitely comes through in his smash single "Give Him Praise" which Charles is currently touring independently throughout the states of Va , Dc , Nc , Sc and Ga . He does this to help give hope and uplift the local youth. This is his way of giving back. Charles J is not only a singer/songwriter but he is a producer , arranger as well , he wrote , sung , arrange and produce his first solo album Superman the album is filled with true r&b music from the heart it's the r&b that shows the real meaning of catering to your women the song Superman shows just that , With his melodic voice and refreshing lyrics -- R&B, Gospel, and Pop singer/songwriter Charles J has a gift for creating memorable songs you instantly want to sing to again and again! After having been through so much .Charles J admits that he is an artist and an individual that is filled with love of God ... love of music ... and love of people! It is this love that keeps him moving forward and writing great and inspiring music that comes from the heart .
