Harrison's Story
My wife Nancy and I live western Loudoun County on the side of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have five Children and both of us work in Fairfax Va.
I am currently Director of Applied Research at Ellucian and where my wife also works as a Manager of Software Development.
We enjoy traveling throughout North America. especially to the American west. I have a goal of traveling extensively and vacationing in all 50 states (45 down and 5 to go!) and a great deal of Canada.
Over the past few years we have managed to see partsd of Canada (British Columbia, Alberto, Toronto, Great Lakes, as far North as the Columbia Ice Fields) Yellowstone, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada,Oregon ,Idaho, Montana, South Dakota,Utah, Arizona, New Mexico (Grand Canyon, Sedona), Colorado (Rocking Mountain National Park, Garden of the gods, Durango Silverton Railroad, San Juan Mountains). The northern Cascades (Washington State) and a long tour of California (Yosemite, San Jose, Sequoia, The Pacific Coast Highway, Death Valley). Over time we have also traveled through a great deal of the Caribbean. (St Thomas, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Grand Caymans, Jamaica, Barbados, Grenada, St. Martin, Mexico). Got to Ireland this year ...Expand for more
(Guiness Brewery!) and probably heading to Iceland next year.
Locally we enjoy many of the local events, the Virginia wine festival, the apple blossom, colorfest in Thurmont, shows at Nissan.
Around the house there is always some thing do as we just finished building a new house with a great view of Loudoun and beyond. I have a passion of Landscape gardening and have just started a long term plan for our new property.
We take our camper out from early spring to late fall and like to entertain our friends and family at our home.
In the summer, you can often find us tubing / kayaking on the Shenandoah or Potomac Rivers. Over the years I have figured out a number of creative ways to park your car on one end and put in up river.
We follow the Nationals and we often run into friends down at the ballpark
If your interested I have a page on Facebook and have been able to reconnect with a few of the long lost friends from high school.
Now that Classmates has locked down the ability to see messages without paying for the "Gold" membership. I dont have a way to respond to anything here. So come see me over on facebook. Do a friend search using Jefferson High Class of 74 and you can find me.
